Moms and Babies

Mother Space Guildford

These monthly meet ups are postnatal support sessions run by my lovely friend Carly Corrigall (specialist women's personal trainer) and me.

They are the coffee mornings we wish had existed when we were both new mums - homemade cake, a hot drink and a chance to chat openly about the ups and downs of new parenthood.

We welcome all new mums with babies who aren't yet on the move.  It's a warm welcoming space where you can relax, find comfort, seek reassurance and advice,

chat with other new mums and enjoy some breathing space with a hot drink and cake.

Venue: QEP Centre, Railton Road, Stoughton, Guildford, GU2 9LX

(adjacent parking and access straight from the street so you can wheel your buggy in easily)

Sessions run from 10.30am – 12.00pm

Dates: Once per month on a Monday morning – see future dates on our booking page

Cost: £8.00 per session to cover room hire, delicious homemade treats and hot drinks

Booking in advance is essential (not least of all so we know how many cakes to bake!)

You can also join our private Facebook group for a sneak preview of the special guests we have lined up for future sessions and to ask us any questions you might have.

A Typical Session

About Us

Cat is a Postnatal Doula and Carly is an experienced personal trainer specialising in women’s health and fitness.  We both live in Guildford and have been close friends for over 10 years seeing each other through all the highs and lows of parenting.  We both have 2 boys each that are the same age and we met at a postnatal group just a few weeks after we had our first babies.

We are both passionate about supporting new mums and have always wanted to offer something in partnership.  Then along came the idea to create the new venue with the Mother Space Guildford group with the lovely Sam, Laura and Sara who host the Puttenham Village Barn group.

The idea being to create a group for new mums that we’d have wished we’d had way back when in those foggy early days as a new mum.  Essentially the mums’ coffee mornings we wish we’d had when our children were babies:

  • A hot drink brought to you (and babies looked after so you can actually drink it!)

  • delicious homemade cakes (even if we do say so ourselves!);

  • a chance to chat with other mums and actually be honest about the trials and tribulations of motherhood.

We’re here to help with babies, keep the coffee flowing and offer a listening ear and support where needed, whether that’s in relation to the emotional, practical or physical side of being a mum. We’re here for you!

We intend to cover a different postnatal topic at each session, and we have lots of special guests lined up for you.

What our Mums say

"I am very happy to have found Mother Space QEP.  It is a safe space that every postpartum mum needs to share with other mums the experiences as we walk through motherhood and to know that we are not alone, that many of us are going through the same situations.  Also led by experts who make you feel contained, understood and pampered with a delicious cake and a hot drink.  I look forward to the next date!"

"Cat, Carly and Sara have created a really welcoming group at QEP where you can have a ho drink (and drink it while it's hot!) and chat with others as we negotiate the highs and los of parenthood.  It's also lovely to see the babies altogether and staring at each other."

"It was lovely to join the Mother Space Group at QEP in Guildford.  A great opportunity to meet and share experiences with other mums.  Such a friendly, welcoming environment topped off with tea and homemade treats."
