Fourth Trimester Support

The fourth trimester is a time for you to recover after birth, a time to get to know your new baby, rest, recuperate, adjust to your new life and take time to breathe and be nurtured.  Learn more about the fourth trimester in my video blog here.  I will help with whatever you feel will be most beneficial and aim to help you feel rested and supported.  My role as your doula covers many different aspects and the support you need will probably change from day to day.  I will be totally flexible to your individual family needs and my focus will be on you.  Read more about my support as your postnatal doula here and check out my video blog to learn a little more about what can be included in a session.  I charge £26 per hour including mileage and travel time.  This fee is a reflection of my recognised status and experience. I am based in Burpham, Guildford, Surrey and will usually travel up to 30 minutes away from here to support families.  Parking expenses will be charged where applicable.  Find out how the booking process works here and view some FAQs here.

Postnatal Planning

My postnatal planning videos and documents provide you with important useful information regarding the fourth trimester, your postnatal body, feeding, newborn behaviour, safe sleep and babywearing to name just a few areas.  We then meet face to face in your home to discuss all things postnatal support.  Check out my blog to learn more about postnatal planning and why it's so important.

What’s included for £50
  • an informative video presentation regarding the fourth trimester;
  • an information booklet full of helpful signposting for a variety of postpartum topics;
  • my detailed postnatal planning information booklet for you to enjoy and complete, looking at the support and plans you might want to put in place, including useful doula tips and suggestions throughout;
  • a face to face follow up meeting with me in your home to discuss all things postnatal support.  We can address any queries and concerns, areas you'd like further information on and it's a great opportunity for us to get to know each other better before baby arrives.

It's always good to make a plan.  When our needs are being met we feel happier and more secure and can face what parenthood might throw our way. You can download a copy of my free basic postnatal planning template here.
Journaling

“Cat was a fantastic support to our family before the baby arrived and the entire time she was with us.  A postnatal doula is a fantastic investment and I can highly recommend Cat!"

"Cat was so wonderful with our eldest which meant I could spend quality time with our new baby or take a shower.  Cat was always happy to take the baby and hush him to sleep, she also helped with washing, cooking and a little cleaning."

“There's no one else I'd like to have around me more when I've just had my baby than Cat.  She's not only fabulous with babies, but you genuinely feel that she loves you and your baby."
