When motherhood feels hard

If motherhood feels hard right now, you can stop pretending it isn’t. 🤍

Motherhood isn’t meant to be perfect. It’s meant to be supported. 🤍

You can admit that you’re exhausted.

You can love your baby deeply and still miss parts of your old life.

You can feel grateful and overwhelmed at the same time.

You can ask for help before you’re at breaking point.

You can leave the washing, lower the bar, and choose rest.

You can cry, laugh, doubt yourself, and keep going—all in the same day.

As a postnatal doula, I want you to know that struggling doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. The early weeks and months of motherhood ask so much of us, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

You were never meant to carry it all alone.

Be gentle with yourself today. Feed yourself. Drink some water. Sit down when you can. Accept the help that’s offered. And if no one has told you lately: you’re doing an incredible job.

Motherhood isn’t meant to be perfect. It’s meant to be supported. 🤍
